My lesson from the week came from a midnight ted talk.
Let’s skip the part where I should have been asleep.
I’m working on that part.
But during this late night YouTube session, I watched a Ted talk by Alan Stein (Link below)
The moral of the talk – Be where your feet are.
One more time.
Be where your feet are.
This simple thought had a profound effect on me.
The importance of being present is something I’m acutely aware of.
It’s also something I struggle with at times.
If I can give more of myself to the present moment, the place I am, the people I’m with, the task at hand,
I’ll be a better human – exponentially.
I will connect with those I love on a deeper level.
I’ll be more effective with tasks at work.
I’ll enjoy just being, on a whole other level.
This is one of those simple things with a profound effect.
Something we innately know and understand but bad habits can take over.
Those bad habits are what is holding us back from what I think is pure joy.
Presence + gratitude + connection.
Be where your feet are.
