“First we form habits, then they form us.
Conquer your bad habits, or they’ll eventually conquer you”
Last week I was fortunate enough to spend 3 days in beautiful Byron Bay, surrounded by a few of my mentors.
Plus a couple of epic humans, who on a similar path to me, doing their best to make the world a better place.
I’m still unpacking the wealth of knowledge shared across those few days.
The connection, the lessons and the ah ha moments came thick and fast.
Unsurprising, considering the company I was keeping.
At the end of the weekend, (after writing copious notes) I wrote two phrases in my diary.
Success Leaves Clues
and
Planning is only step one. Those who execute, win.
I’m the kind of person who loves an idea. I’m great at starting, but I’m not great at finishing.
One of my holes is trying to juggle too many balls at once.
This weekend, and those two phrases, reminded me that if I want to move the needle, and be successful.
(whatever the hell that word means)
Then I need to cultivate habits that help me fill my holes. Whilst removing the habits that exacerbate them.
First we form habits, then they form us.
Conquer your bad habits, or they’ll eventually conquer you
This won’t be easy. But i know that If i want to challenge myself.
If i want to grow and adapt to become the friend, leader, teammate and person I want to be.
Then there are a few simple habits that I know will help me with that.
And there are a few others that I must say goodbye to.
What are your habits? Good and bad, and what are you doing about them?
