Pats on the back

Time to talk about achievement.

We need to start giving ourselves pats on the back.

When they are deserved.

We need to celebrate the little wins.

Our own, and those of the people around us.

I’m a big believer that those close to you should want to celebrate your achievements more than you sometimes.

I’m fortunate to have those people in my life.

I’m proud to say I’m on the other side of the fence, I love getting around others achievements.

This week I achieved a big goal.

I’m proud to say I achieved it.

The reason I achieved this.

I lent in. Hard. I set a big goal.

And I achieved it by ticking off little goals.

One week at a time.

I asked for help and I was supported by my allies.

12 months worth of podcasts may not seem like much.

But this time last year it seemed a long long way away.

52 boxes ticked. 52 Episodes that each changed me and my life for the better.

Achievement unlocked. Now onto the next mountain.

My task for you…

Identify one thing you’re proud of.

Give yourself a pat on the back.

Celebrate the win.

And if you’d like.

Email me back and let me know what you’re proud of.

When it is deserved, self-praise can be incredibly fulfilling.

Be good to yourself, like you’re good to others.

And if you’re still climbing the mountain.

Stop and take a look around.

Enjoy the view from half way up.

Find happiness in the process.

And you’ll never feel that you are not ‘enough’
