Zoom Out

Virtus Family!

Happy Friday.

If you live to be 90 years of age, you’ll experience 1,080 months of existence.

That’s a whole lot of time to participate in and contribute to the life that we are fortunate enough to live.

Among those 1,080 months are many chapters, seasons, phases, and eras. You’ll grow, you’ll succeed, you’ll fail, you’ll love and laugh and cry and do everything in between.

When things are difficult, as they are now, it is easy to miss the forest for the trees. You may find yourself in a hole you don’t think you can climb out of. When that’s the case, remind yourself that this too shall pass.

Every feeling, good or bad or indifferent, has a finite life span.

Give yourself the space to pause and zoom out. Jump in a helicopter and rise up high above the ground and have a look at your life from a different perspective. The view that in the 1,080 months of life that you may be fortunate enough to experience. There will be ups and downs and everything in between.

Enjoy what you do each day, but don’t forget that you’re playing the long game.

Life is short, yes. But you have time, give yourself the space to appreciate and embrace this and you will spend your time wisely.

Building capacity to overcome the challenges you face with grace, and exceed the expectations you have for your life.

Do this and you’re heading in the right direction. You’re creating a life by design.
