Virtus Daily blog #78 – What do you need most?

I resisted the urge to skip my weekly email this week. Long weekend, time to myself, maybe I won’t do the thing I said I would because I deserve a break. I’ve been working hard right? I need some rest. One less commitment to worry about won’t make much of a difference right? Honestly, probably not. You could say it could start a torrent of shortcuts. But I don’t think that would have been the case. 

It’s one of those things that is easy to do, and easy not to do. 

We get many of these choices each day. 

I decided to choose to do. 

Over the next few days, you will all be presented with a raft of choices. For most of you, you’ll have four days off. Some have 10. Some will continue to work through the weekend. I have one piece of advice for you to carry through the next week or two. This is the advice that I’ll be doing my best to follow over the next few days. 

What do you need most right now?

If its chocolate, treat yourself. 

If it’s family time, make it happen. 

if it’s time outdoors, grab the dog, put your shoes on, and head outside. 

If it’s to get stuck into the work that’s been piling up, pull up your sleeves and get to work. 

Whatever that thing is that will help you feel, act or be better, do it. 

Public holidays and these weekends can be a time which will go by in a flash. Whether you need rest or to chip in and do the work. Don’t let it go to waste. I certainly won’t
