INTERN SPOTLIGHT: NAT McGRATH

TELL US A BIT (A LOT) MORE ABOUT YOURSELF
Mum of two (9 & 7)
I live in Mt Eliza with my husband, kiddos & a very demanding cat.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SPEND 12 WEEKS WITH THE VIRTUS FAMILY?
Largely to connect and learn. In the past I have ran my own business, working for and by myself, it can be isolating and full of bias so the next little while will be great opportunity for growth, whilst getting to know the Virtus Community – hopefully have a few laughs, also.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Exactly what I’m doing now.
Living in service to others, happy & healthy and mostly a very present parent, it’s a real gift raising little humans and helping them find their way in this tricky world.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
Seeing people happy and thriving, people believing in themselves (lightbulb moments)
Helping others. Kindness, lots of it.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AS A PERSON AND A COACH?
Honest, love of learning – curious, kind, empathic, disciplined.
A no frills get on with it type of person.

WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST STRETCHES AS A PERSON AND A COACH
Imposter Syndrome
Over thinker at times
Keeping indoor plants happy

FAVOURITE BOOK
Hard to have one, but here are a few that come to mind that I could read time & time again
Tuesdays with Morrie
Myth of Normal
Roald dahl – Oh the places you’ll go. I do appreciate the quirks

MOVIE
I don’t have one all time but will happily binge a Netflix series instead, some quality binging
Anything Harlan Coben
Jack Ryan
Line of Duty
Succession

TV SHOW

I really don’t watch TV day to day but if I had to have one, Spicks & Specks, old episodes are golden.

HOBBY – This is funny!
Ferrying children from sport to sport, is this a hobby??
Exercise
Reading – although it doesn’t happen quite as often as I’d like
Time with my family, simple things really are the best

EXERCISE
Deadlift or Running, the freedom to put one foot in front of the other is honestly my meditation, although sidelined at the moment with a really angry knee, so I’m a little grumpy!
