TELL US A LITTLE BIT (A LOT) ABOUT YOURSELF:
I’m 20 and from Mount Eliza currently studying a bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at Deakin University. It’s my final year of university but first year on campus due to COVID. I’m a 100m & 200m sprinter (mainly 100m) and as a junior athlete I was coached by Mitch at Virtus for a couple of years. I have a dog Theodore who’s a Miniature Schnauzer and I love spending as much time with him as possible. I definitely want to travel around Europe as soon as I can. I’m still currently deciding on what I want to do post university but at the moment I enjoy coaching at Toorak College with the primary school kids.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SPEND 12 WEEKS WITH THE VIRTUS FAMILY?
I chose to spend 12 weeks with the Virtus Family for my 3rd year placement hours. I knew this would be a great opportunity to further expand my knowledge on strength and conditioning coaching as well as other branches such as how to run a small business, self-promotion etc.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
No idea currently but hopefully in a career where I can help people either improve their lifestyle or enjoy and participate in sport. Whether that’s with children or adults I don’t mind but I do enjoy working with children.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
Being able to make people happy
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS AS A PERSON AND A COACH?
Approachable and friendly
WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST STRETCHES AS A PERSON AND A COACH?
Probably can be a bit shy and can doubt myself easily
