Lachie Wallace

Founder

As the owner and director of Virtus Performance, a holistic performance gym based on the Mornington Peninsula, Lachie’s approach is simple: do good things with good people. He creates an environment where you can feel, move and perform at your best in the arenas of life that you play in. Whether it’s work, health, relationships or sport, Lachie will deconstruct what best performance looks like for you, work with you to develop a tailored roadmap that considers everything in your life, and then support you in implementing that plan. For more than 10 years, Lachie has empowered people of all backgrounds and experiences to achieve their potential through evidence-based training and development principles. He’s coached thousands of people to achieve their goals and improve their lives, whilst enjoying the journey and having a laugh along the way. Using a caring and fun approach, Lachie makes people better. Working with athletes, parents, health workers, office workers and everyone in between, Lachie will help you achieve your goals. Transforming how you think about your health, growth and performance, Lachie will guide you on an education journey toward performance in every area of life. He is the mentor, coach, friend and facilitator of good things you need in your pursuit of excellence.

Greg Dea

Sports Physiotherapist

Greg Dea is our resident Sports Physio.

During our onboarding process, we run a movement assessment which test you through various positions and patterns. If you express any pain during this screen, we refer you to Greg for diagnosis & treatment.

He will work with you to eliminate pain, restore proper function and get you back on the road to good health.

If you are in pain, have any niggles or need a tune up, the Phys is your man.

Tyler Frost

Performance coach & partnerships lead

Tyler’s journey in the Health and Fitness industry began nearly a decade ago in Hamilton, a small town in South-West Victoria. After earning his Certificate III & IV in Fitness in 2015, he ended up moving to Ballarat to study PE and Maths teaching. While still personal training on the side, he discovered this was his true passion and transferred to a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2018, ultimately graduating in 2020.

Tyler has been mentored by several industry leaders, fuelling his interest in athletic development and holistic health & wellness. He fills his own cup through strength training, running, tennis, and travel.

Tyler’s ultimate drive is to grow his own private online and face to face coaching business, dedicated to helping both athletes and the general population elevate their health and performance.

Dakota Watson

Performance Coach & Member Success

Dakota is a dedicated 20-year-old student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. With a passion for sports and fitness, Dakota plays netball for the Karingal Football Netball Club and enjoys a mix of running and strength training. Dakota has a keen interest in following the Exercise Physiology pathway, with a focus on improving function and quality of life for the general population. Additionally, Dakota is enthusiastic about athletic development and performance, aiming to make a positive impact in both areas. She was also the Oceania Kite Flying Champion in 2016.

Jacqui Coughlan

Performance Coach

Jacqui is an ASCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach with five years of experience in the field. She holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Applied Sports Science at Deakin University.

With a strong passion for athlete development, Jacqui is dedicated to building resilience and optimising performance for athletes and individuals of all levels. Jacqui enjoys seeing members realise their potential and promote a positive gym experience.

Georgia Templeton (Right)

Georgia is a bright and committed 19 year old in her 2nd year with us here at Virtus. Having played sport her whole life, Georgia is enthusiastic and dedicated to her sport while currently perusing a VFL career with Box Hill Hawks coming off 2 seasons with the Dandenong stingrays and local talent pathways. Bringing her 6 month old kelpie with her where ever she goes, she strives to create meaningful and impactful content while also keeping Virtus up to date with all the latest trends and promoting Virtus to the wider community.

Banksy

Official greeter/BRINGER OF JOY

Banksy, our 4-year-old Border Collie, is Virtus Performance’s undisputed champion of cuddles. As the Official Greeter/Bringer of Joy, she lives for two things: chasing footballs like her life depends on it and soaking up as many cuddles as  doggedly possible. If there’s a football in sight, you better believe Banksy’s on it like Nick Daicos on a hard ball get—she might just be the fastest thing on four legs. And when she’s not busy showing footballs who’s boss, Banksy’s doling out snuggles like they’re going out of style.
